In the long run the software just gained a lot from piracy, if not for piracy people would have used Linux today and windows would have gone bankrupt 🙂
Especially in the old days, I don’t seem to remember any other way to play a game and if people wouldn’t have pirated they just wouldn’t have played games they wouldn’t have bought the games instead…
